Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of Medialento (the "Service"), a social media publishing tool operated by NMJ Service Oy ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Finland.

1. About the Service

Medialento lets authorised users schedule and publish videos, images and text to social media accounts they own or manage on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. The Service connects to these platforms only through their official APIs and only with the account owner's permission.

The Service is a private, self-hosted installation of the open-source Postiz software, run by NMJ Service Oy on its own server in Finland for its own content and brands (Tietokettu, NMJ Service and Medialento). It is not open for public sign-up. The Postiz software is governed by its own open-source licence; nothing in these Terms limits the rights that licence gives.

2. Who may use the Service

You may use the Service only if:

  • you have been given access by NMJ Service Oy;
  • you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live; and
  • you have the right to connect and publish to every social media account you link to the Service.

3. Connecting social media accounts

When you connect an account (for example a TikTok, YouTube or LinkedIn account), you authorise the Service to act on that account within the permissions you grant on the platform's own consent screen, such as reading basic profile information and uploading or publishing content.

You can disconnect an account at any time in the Service, or by revoking access in the platform's own app or permissions page. Disconnecting or revoking access stops all future scheduled posts to that account.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You keep all rights to the content you publish through the Service. You give us only the limited permission needed to store, process and transmit that content to the platforms you choose, solely to operate the Service.

You are responsible for the content you publish and must make sure that it:

  • complies with applicable law;
  • complies with the terms, community guidelines and content policies of each platform;
  • does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.

5. Third-party platforms

The Service depends on third-party platforms: TikTok, YouTube (Google), Instagram and Facebook (Meta), and LinkedIn. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, including:

The Service uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

We are not responsible for the platforms' availability, policies, content moderation decisions, account suspensions, rate limits or API changes. If a platform changes or withdraws its API, we may change or stop the affected integration.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • publish unlawful, hateful or harassing content, spam, misleading content or content you do not have the rights to;
  • run undisclosed bots, create fake engagement or take part in coordinated inauthentic behaviour;
  • access accounts you are not authorised to manage;
  • attempt to interfere with, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Service or any connected platform;
  • circumvent platform rate limits or technical restrictions.

We may suspend or remove access, and remove content, if these Terms are broken or if use puts the Service or a connected platform at legal or security risk. We may also report violations to the affected platform.

7. Availability and changes

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We do not guarantee that publishing will always succeed or happen at an exact scheduled time, or that a connected platform will accept a post.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, NMJ Service Oy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or for actions taken by third-party platforms. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes are handled by the competent court of Finland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
